[a] Vehicular Manslaughter
Defined as the killing of a person using an automobile, without premeditated
If premeditated, a Murder charge will be brought against the suspect
[b] DUI / DWI
A person has committed DUI/DWI if they are under the influence of Narcotics - Illegal or otherwise.
You will be arrested, and the vehicle will be secured in the Impound Lot.
If believed to be under the influence of an illegal narcotic - as defined per  the vehicle and your person will be searched.
[c] Minor Traffic Offenses
If you commit a traffic offence while driving, you will be pulled over.
If you cannot provide an adequate reason for the minor traffic offence, then you will be charged for breaking that traffic law.
Minor Traffic Laws Include: Speeding, Running Stop Signs, Running a Red Light obstructing a Junction, Driving off-road in a built up area.
[d] Offroad driving
Deviating from a road is permitted, as long as you are not in violation of [3.c] by doing so.
You must keep to a reasonable speed, as per [3.e].
If your driving is considered dangerous you may be charged for dangerous driving
[e] General Limitations
No person shall drive a vehicle at a speed greater than the permitted speed limit and prudence should be exercised. The driver should be aware of actual and potential hazards and should limit their speed accordingly. Speed limitations, are as follows:
- Fifty (50) within City Limits
- Ninety (90) elsewhere
[f] Emergency Services Vehicles
Authorised Emergency Vehicles, exercising the use of lights and sirens, will be allowed to circumvent the speed restrictions detailed within [3.e]
All citizens, are expected to yield to emergency vehicles exercising the use of lights and sirens.
Those who do not will be charged with failure to yield.
Emergency Service personnel are still expected to drive with care and they are not forfeited from any consequences as a result of reckless driving.
When passing an Emergency Vehicle using lights and/sirens, it is authorised that you may pass the vehicle either through overtaking or entering the opposite carriageway.
Once an overtake movement is completed, the operator of the automobile must return to the correct carriageway.
[g] Impedance of Speed
Operators of automobiles must maintain a sensible speed within the speed limit so as to not impede standard operation of other road users.
Subjects will be afforded the same penalty as speeding
Except, in cases of hazards - as per [3.e]
There is created a rebuttable presumption that shall arise in any criminal action under this section to the effect that if it can be proven that a person is the registered owner of a vehicle that is driven in a manner that violates this section, the person is presumed to have been the driver of the vehicle at the time of the violation.
If an AI is found to be operating an automobile, the owner/hirer of the AI will be faulted for its actions.
[I] Careless/Dangerous/Reckless Driving
It shall be unlawful for any person to drive or operate any vehicle in such a careless manner as to keep a proper lookout for other traffic, vehicular or otherwise, or in such a manner as to maintain proper control on the public thoroughfares or private property in City Life.
It shall be unlawful for any person to operate or drive any vehicle on the public thoroughfares or private property in City Life in violation of the following prohibited acts:
Improper or unsafe lane changes on public roadways;
Driving onto or across private property to avoid intersections, stop signs, traffic control devices, or traffic lights;
Driving in such a manner, or at such a speed, so as to cause a skidding, spinning, or sliding of tires or a sliding of the vehicle;
Driving too close to, or colliding with, parked or stopped vehicles, fixtures, persons, or objects adjacent to the public thoroughfares;
Driving a vehicle which has any part thereof, or any object, extended in such fashion as to endanger persons or property;
To operate any vehicle in such a manner which would cause a failure to maintain control;
To operate a vehicle in any manner, when the driver is inattentive, and such inattention is not reasonable and prudent in maintaining vehicular control.
A person who violates this section shall be subject to a fine A Thousand dollars ($1000).
Any person who drives any vehicle in such a manner as to indicate a wanton disregard for the safety of persons or property is guilty of reckless driving.
[j] Usage of Lamps/Lights
Every vehicle, using a roadway at any time from one-half (½) hour after sunset to one-half (½) hour before sunrise and at any other time when there is not sufficient light to render clearly discernible persons and vehicles on the roadway at a distance of five hundred feet (500′) ahead shall display lighted lamps and illuminating devices as respectively required for different classes of vehicles, subject to exceptions with respect to parked vehicles as stated.
Any vehicle using a roadway without lights will be fined
Any vehicle which does not have lights, will be removed from the roadway
Any lighted headlamps on a parked vehicle, on or near the roadway except on private property shall be removed.
[k] Operating on an Airport Runway or Taxiway
Any vehicle spotted operating on an Airport Runway or Taxiway when those locations are not closed for a certain reason shall be ticketed, fined, arrested (3rd offense & after), and have their license revoked at that time. Any vehicle at the International Airport may be around the terminal area, however once the vehicle moves from the east side of the terminal tarmac near the cage and boxing ring that will be considered a violation of this law.
- First Offense - $25,000 Fine, License Revoke, & Vehicle Impounded
- Second Offense - $50,000 Fine, License Revoke, & Vehicle Impounded
- Third Offense - $75,000 Fine, Lincense Revoke, Vehicle Impounded, & 15 mins Jail sentence
- Fourth Offense - $100,000 Fine, License Revoke, Vehicle Impounded, & 30 mins Jail sentence
Note: Individuals will resort back to the first offense after 15 calendar days from their last offense
